deadlines

i KNOW i haven’t been slacking; but the end of the month is upon us! tons of new content, and i haven’t finished cleaning the code! i’m working on the last template and just about the last of the images, but i still need to finish the scrapbook and the animations

and i’ve got to break in the middle for another client! this is fun! i haven’t had a chance to work with her for several months. another week would have helped me immensly, but i’ll take what i can get.

more testing

the template pages are coming along nicely. it amazes me that some things work perfectly in one page, and erratically in others; sometimes not al all. it makes for interesting days.

d3ecided to splurge. going to upgrade my macromedia apps, today! looks like i just might be able to get them for about 1/2 off, and that ain’t too bad. that’s if i order directly from macromedia. i might hunt around a little bit, but i know i can’t get it at the shows; even if i were willing to wait that long.

not enough time!

she’s having second thoughts about creating a BLOG, but i think her first thoughts were really good. i’ll have to prove it to her, which means, i’ll have to put it into practice.

there just hasn’t been time! editing the pages for corrections has been tricky enough. i still have to enter the new content, and make sure it’s all working. the flash on the home page needs to be replaced, and the images need to be optimized for performance. i’m pleased with my progress, so far, but i’d like to go even faster.

no more jury duty for a month, but the baby will be my charge right after that. i’m almost glad we’ve moved the deadline up to the end of july.

nothing new

really. i spent most of the day updating software and fine tuning the desktop. i’m not at all sure i’m pleased with the results, to be honest. it’s beginning to look like i just created issues. that backup and recover is beginning to look happier and happier.

going to finish coding the site and then i’ll start the revisions. i’ll try changing the template for this, tomorrow.

that was a trial.

but now that i’ve done it, i know how to coach someone else. ftp can be kinda tricky, especially if your provider has changed your settings on you.

verizon was autoomatically redirecting me, but only from ws-ftp. everything else was getting WAY confounded. but all’s well, now. now i just need to do a little more experimenting.

i’m easily confused

’s awrite! so i can’t follow instructions the first time. or the second time, either. i do learn, eventually.

i have a client: she wants to blog. best way to supply it, is to try it. so now i have a blog. find out just how easy it is to post, edit, archive… how much it will/won’t change a page layout… let’s’ make this intuitive, please. i do not want to create “trials and tribs” for my client. it’s so much nicer to say “sure, we can do that!” and then find a way to do it! (and quickly!)

i’m a happy camper. i like to oblige, and i do believe in customer service!
